These Tennesseans have been released after serving prison time for Jan. 6 riot

Several Tennesseans who were serving prison sentences have been released in connection to the pardons and commutations.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Less than 24 hours after re-taking the Oval Office, President Donald Trump has pardoned and commuted the prison sentences of those charged from the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot.

Trump also ordered the attorney general to seek the dismissal of roughly 450 pending cases before judges stemming from the largest investigation in Justice Department history.

Several Tennesseans serving prison sentences have been released in connection to the pardons and commutations.

Here’s a look at who’s been released so far from Tennessee:

  • Ronald Colton McAbee, 29, of Unionville, Tennessee
  • Joseph “Jose” Lino Padilla, 43, of Cleveland, Tennessee
  • Eric Gavelek Munchel, 32, of Nashville, Tennessee
  • Albuquerque Cosper Head, of Kingsport, Tennessee
  • Michael N. Asbury, of Knoxville, Tennessee
