Reward for info increased in Nashville Christmas Day road rage murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A reward for information leading to an arrest in the Christmas Day road rage murder of Christopher Spaunhorst has increased to $23,000.

Spaunhorst, 37, of Greenbrier, was fatally shot while driving his Ford F-150 pickup on Interstate 24 West between Shelby Avenue and James Robertson Parkway exits by someone in a black 2016-2017 Kia Optima sedan, police said. He’s a father of five children.

“Concerned citizens had previously raised $16,000 toward the reward, and after being recently renewed through Crime Stoppers, a local business owner contributed an additional $2,000. Crime Stoppers additionally offers up to $5,000 for tips in homicide and cold cases,” police said.
