Man charged with shooting, killing wife in Pickett County
The TBI said the shooting happened at a home in the 100 block of Eagle Crest Drive in Byrdstown Sunday night.
BYRDSTOWN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Pickett County man has been charged with shooting and killing his wife inside their home, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The TBI said the shooting happened at a home in the 100 block of Eagle Crest Drive in Byrdstown Sunday night.
According to the TBI, Pickett County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the home to conduct a welfare check. As deputies arrived, they heard a gunshot, the TBI said.

The deputies then found Theresa Foutch, 72, inside the home with a gunshot wound. TBI special agents determined the woman’s husband, Johny Foutch,71, was responsible for the shooting.
Foutch has been charged with one count of first-degree murder. He has been booked into the Pickett County Jail with no bond.
