Victim of Green Hills mall robbery wanted on homicide charge after deadly shooting
Police are continuing to search for Denton who’s now facing a homicide charge after a robbery led to the shooting death of one of the accused robbers.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department reports that the victim of a robbery at the Mall at Green Hills is now wanted on an outstanding homicide charge for the Feb. 4 shooting that killed one of the alleged robbers.
Police said that 31-year-old Genesis Denton, who was identified as the shopper who was robbed of his Louis Vuitton bags in the mall’s parking lot, is facing charges in the shooting death of 30-year-old Emmanuel Easley.
Denton was walking to his rented Volvo SUV with two designer bags when a Tesla drove up to him and Omari Rasad Moore, 30, got out of the vehicle and robbed him, according to police. Denton then left the area in the SUV.
After the robbery, Moore and Easley left the mall’s parking in the Tesla. Easley was shot while driving away and later crashed the Tesla into a tree off of the I-65 North entrance ramp from I-440.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died a short time later. Moore was arrested at the crash scene and charged with aggravated robbery on Feb 4. He was also charged by the U.S. Department of Justice with felon in possession of a firearm.
