HCA Healthcare sign vandalized in Nashville
Multiple people reported seeing the words “Deny,” “Defend,” and “Depose” written on the sign.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A healthcare company sign was reportedly vandalized on Monday morning in West Nashville.
Multiple sources reported seeing the words, “Deny,” “Defend,” and “Depose” written on the HCA Healthcare sign on the corner of 25th Avenue North and Charlotte Avenue.
The same words were found written on the bullet casings after the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City on December 4.

Pieces of cardboard have since been used to cover the graffiti.
HCA Healthcare released this statement regarding the incident:
“The safety of all of our colleagues remains our highest priority. As a company, we have various security measures in place to protect all colleagues and we regularly explore additional means to safeguard our colleagues. Last night, one of our corporate campus monument signs was vandalized. In response, we are working closely with local law enforcement to investigate this incident thoroughly.”
Agents with the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Security Threat division are investigating the incident.
