NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to kill someone earlier this month in Nashville.
Andre Harris, 28, is charged with attempted criminal homicide in connection with an October 16 shooting. Witnesses told responding police that day that two people exchanged gunfire on Plus Park Boulevard, and police found a trail of blood in the area, as well as multiple spent shell casings, according to an affidavit.
While investigating, detectives found that Harris was wanted after he failed to appear in court for multiple charges, including possessing controlled substances with intent, felon in possession with a handgun, theft of a firearm and evading arrest.
“Camera footage from a nearby building shows Mr. Harris walking away from the victim before turning and closing the distance on him while firing his weapon,” the affidavit says.
On Wednesday, detectives tracked down Harris and took him into custody. He reportedly admitted to investigators that he shot another person he was feuding with.
“Mr. Harris stated he did not even recall the victim firing his gun during the incident, his decision to fire was of his own volition with the intent to kill the victim,” the affidavit states.
