SMYRNA, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Smyrna woman is warning her neighbors to be vigilant after she said her car was broken into twice in one weekend.

The woman said the incidents occurred Friday and again on Sunday near Hartwood and Clyde Avenue in Smyrna. She said her car was locked at the time it was broken into.

Suspects caught on camera

The Smyrna woman said the suspects may have used a special fob that unlocks locked vehicles.

Surveillance cameras captured the incidents.

At least four suspects were involved and appeared to be teens, the woman said. They reportedly left the scene in a black sedan.

“If anyone saw unusual activity, unfamiliar vehicles, or people walking through the neighborhood, please let us know or contact law enforcement,” the woman said. “Please stay safe and be extra vigilant. We hope no one else in the neighborhood has to go through this.”
