Spilled concrete blocks busy Nashville road during morning commute

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Multiple lanes were blocked Tuesday morning on Briley Parkway after debris spilled on the busy road ahead of the morning commute.

The debris can be seen on the Tennessee Department of Transportation SmartWay cameras at Elm Hill Pike. Crews responded to the scene to help direct traffic.

TDOT confirmed that the debris is spilled concrete mix. No details on how the spill happened or the clearance time were made available.

SmartWay cameras captured fire crews hosing the debris off the roadway, which has since cleared.
