NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The funeral and visitation arrangements have been announced for Bill Cody, a longtime voice at WSM Radio.

Trent Barry Clutts, known as Bill Cody, died after a weeks-long hospital stay after suffering heart and kidney failure. His death was announced earlier this week by WSM Radio, where Cody had worked for more than 30 years.

WSM announced the funeral and visitation arrangements on Friday. Family, friends, colleagues and fans are invited to attend.

Both services will be held on June 15 at the Grand Ole Opry House. Visitation is planned from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Opry House auditorium.

Both the Grand Ole Opry and WSM Radio will host special programming on Monday, including live coverage of the service. That coverage will be live-streamed on WSM Radio 650 AM and on WSM’s Facebook.

“Bill Cody’s legacy as a broadcaster, storyteller, and steadfast ambassador of the genre will be honored in the place he helped define for generations of artists and fans alike,” WSM said.
