New Jersey family offering cash reward for info about son who went missing in TN after visiting girlfriend
Ryan Joseph King told his parents he was going to visit his girlfriend. When they tried getting ahold of him, the girlfriend told them she hadn’t seen him in weeks.
PARIS, Tenn. (WSMV) - It’s been one year since Ryan Joseph King went missing in Tennessee after visiting his girlfriend, and now, his family is offering a cash reward for information that may lead to his location.
King was reported missing on June 3, 2025, after his parents tried to reach him multiple times. His father had last spoken to him on May 27 last year, at which time, King said he had traveled to Murray, Kentucky, to be with his girlfriend. When they didn’t hear from him on Father’s Day, his mother tried calling King’s phone and his girlfriend answered, saying she didn’t know where he was and that she hadn’t seen him in weeks.
Nobody has heard from him since. The family says he was last seen in Paris, Tennessee.
“A lot is still unknown about what happened to Ryan the day he disappeared, but the family has no plans to give up digging for the truth and answering the question of ‘Where is Ryan?” a spokesperson for the family said.

King, who was 28 at the time of his disappearance, is a white male who is 6′2″ and weighs about 170 pounds. He has a brown birthmark about the size of a half dollar on his left forearm, just below the elbow. He has another similar birthmark in the center of his lower back.
Robert King, Ryan King’s father, said that his son was raised in New Jersey and was a “good kid, an active athlete and enjoyed time with his family.”
“We have been just consumed with worry and the not knowing what has happened or where our son is,” he said. “It is so overwhelming most days.”
The family recently started working with the nonprofit CUE Center for Missing Persons. Last week, volunteers with that organization distributed flyers to try to raise public awareness.
The family is temporarily offering a $5,000 cash reward, “no questions asked” for information leading to their son’s location and discovery. The reward will be offered from midnight on June 2 to midnight on September 30.
Information and tips can be submitted to the Henry County Sheriff’s Department at 731-363-3971 or by contacting the CUE Center for Missing Persons at 910-232-1687
