GALLATIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - Foxland Harbor Marina has announced it will no longer be pursuing development of the planned waterfront amenity in Gallatin.

Officials with the marina project cited challenges and said they were not able to achieve a workable plan for the amenity in Gallatin.

“The marina has always been part of Foxland Harbor’s vision, with the goal of creating a premier facility that would enhance the Foxland community, surrounding neighborhoods, and the City of Gallatin,” officials with the marina said.

“Due to unfortunate challenges with the marina project, it is imprudent to continue the project in its current form. Ultimately, we could not achieve a workable plan for the benefit of the gracious and growing community of Gallatin. Nevertheless, we endured these challenges because of our strong belief in the project and its benefits.”

Back in October 2025, the proposed marina was approved by the Gallatin City Council.

Upon completion, the project would have been the city’s first marina on Old Hickory Lake in nearly 70 years. Plans included adding more than 200 boat slips and more than 100 new condos, several retail spaces and a new resaturant.
