SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A union for tenants is forming in Shelbyville.
People who live at Bedford Manor on Barksdale Lane are demanding better conditions from their California-based landlord.
The union is asking for repairs that they say are long overdue and immediate pest control at all 10 buildings in the complex. Members are also requesting a meeting with their landlord within the next 10 days to negotiate.
The Bedford Manor Tenant Union claims to be the first of its kind in Bedford County.
WSMV4 has reached out to the Bedford Manor landlord for comment.
