Person rescued from storm drain in Murfreesboro
According to MFRD, the person was about 70 feet inside the drain.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) was called to Pennington Drive for a person stuck in a storm drain on Friday night.

When crews arrived, they found the person, entered the drain, and reached the person within minutes, MFRD said.
As crews worked to get the person out of the drain, officials used air monitors to make sure the air inside the drain was safe for both the patient and firefighters.
MFRD crews secured the person and carefully pulled them out using ropes. Once they were removed, the person was turned over to Rutherford County EMS and taken to a local hospital.
According to MFRD, the person suffered minor injuries.
