SNAP WeHo to open food pantry on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The South Nashville Action People (SNAP) Wedgewood Houston Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The food pantry, located at 1224 Martin Street, will be open from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

In order to make giving back to the community possible, SNAP is asking people to help with donations. SNAP WeHo will be accepting donations of food from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, or drop-offs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

SNAP WeHo said they need the following items most:

• Canned veggies, beans and soup
• Rice, pasta and cereal
• Shelf-stable milk and baby formula
• Peanut butter and canned protein
• Cooking oil and spices
