NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: A South Nashville bar and grill now has a padlock on its front door due to it being a public nuisance, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Officers moved to shut down the 404 Bar & Grill off of Nolensville Pike on Thursday morning.
The padlocking comes after five years of crimes being reported in connection with the bar and grill, including assaults, shootings, and more. The shutdown will last into next week, pending the outcome of an upcoming hearing.
MNPD reports they’ve been called to the location more than 120 times, which they say has drained their resources.
During the padlocking operation, officers discovered at least 15 gambling machines and body armor.
Earlier: The Metro Nashville Police Department has padlocked a bar and grill on Thursday morning.
MNPD reports that its specialized investigations division detectives padlocked the 404 Bar & Grill on Elysian Fields Road.
