LINDEN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A former Perry County school employee was indicted by a grand jury on Monday on charges including aggravated statutory rape.
Earlier in the week, Rachel Carroll was indicted on charges of aggravated statutory rape and solicitation of a minor.
According to court documents, Carroll was involved with a minor who was between the ages of 13-18 in January 2024. No other information has been released at this time.
WSMV4 has reached out to the Perry County School District for comment. Director of Schools Eric Lomax said Carroll was placed on administrative leave as soon as the district was notified of the allegations.
Lomax said she later resigned.
