Nursing home evacuated due to rising water
Multiple agencies assisted in the transport of 52 residents to another facility.

RED BOILING SPRINGS, Tenn. (WSMV) - Residents had to be evacuated from the Palace Nursing Home Saturday afternoon due to rising water, according to the Macon County Emergency Medical Services (MCEMS).


Multiple agencies assisted in the transport of 52 residents to another facility where they will remain until the water recedes, MCEMS said.
A bus dedicated to mass casualty incidents was used to transport the residents.
Macon County was under under a Flash Flood Warning Saturday afternoon until 6 p.m. and is currently under a Tornado Watch until 1 a.m. Sunday.
