Multiple active water main breaks across Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: Metro Water Services (MWS) confirmed that a break in an 8″ main had to be repaired in West Nashville on Harding Pike.

MWS crews worked into the early morning hours Tuesday to repair the break.

Hours after repairs were made, two crashes were reported in the area due to ice on the roadway.

There have been multiple active water main breaks across the Davidson County area since Sunday night, according to the MWS outage map.

Metro Water Services crews began working into the early morning hours Tuesday to repair the break on Harding Pike at the intersection of Brookmont Terrace near The Nelson Apartment Homes.

The full impact of the water main break remains unclear.

There are currently six active water main breaks, according to the Metro Water Services outage map.
