Name a feral cat after your ex for Valentine’s Day at TN animal shelter

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Williamson County Animal Center is offering those looking for a way to help heal a heartbreak a chance to turn it into something positive.

For Valentine’s Day, the shelter is giving people the opportunity to come to name a “feisty feral cat” after their ex before they are spayed or neutered.

“We’ll name a feisty feral cat after your ex and make sure they never leave their mark on the dating scene again by spaying or neutering them! Because let’s face it, the only thing your ex should be spreading is the word about how they got outsmarted by a cat,” the shelter said.

Anyone interested in participating needs to register online here, and you’ll then get an email from them asking for the $50 payment. Or, you can stop by the shelter in person to go through the process.

After registering and paying, the shelter said, "Sit back, relax, and revel in the sweet, sweet revenge knowing your ex won’t be causing any romantic mischief in the future."

WCAC said they will make the whole process official by sending you a postcard once your ex has been “fixed.”

All proceeds from this will go towards funding the shelter’s spay and neuter program.
