Driver of stolen vehicle arrested after high-speed pursuit through Wilson, Trousdale counties
The car was found to be stolen from Nashville.
HARTSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The driver of a stolen vehicle was arrested and is facing charges after leading deputies from Wilson and Trousdale counties on a pursuit.
The Trousdale County Sheriff’s Department said they were notified that Wilson County deputies were pursuing a silver Nissan Altima on Thursday at around 11:30 a.m. The vehicle had last been seen traveling on Highway 231 near the Wilson/Trousdale county line at a high rate of speed.
TCSD said a deputy saw the vehicle as it turned onto Highway 25 and began to pursue it. The Altima reportedly continued to “flee recklessly” towards Hartsville.
Deputies were able to deploy spike strips and successfully stopped the vehicle.
The car was found to be stolen from Nashville.
The driver, who police said is from Memphis, was arrested on multiple charges. A hearing is pending in General Sessions Court.
