Morgan Wallen’s charges in chair-throwing case to be reduced
The country music star’s attorney filed to have the charges transferred to the Davidson County Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Country music star Morgan Wallen’s charges in the case of him throwing a chair off the top of a Nashville bar will be reduced.
Wallen, 31, was arrested after he was seen throwing a chair from the top of Eric Church’s bar Chief’s on April 7, the bar’s opening weekend.
The chair reportedly landed just a few feet away from two officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department, who were on foot patrol that night along Broadway.

Wallen was charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct when the incident happened. The three felony charges will now be reduced to misdemeanors.
The country music star’s attorney filed to have the charges transferred to the Davidson County Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday. That court will now hear his case Thursday, Dec. 12.
It is unknown if Wallen will appear in court, but the outcome of his case may be decided that day.
