Morgan Wallen pleads guilty in chair-throwing case
The 31-year-old singer was arrested after he was seen throwing a chair from the top of Eric Church’s bar Chief’s on the night of April 7, 2024.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Breaking update: Morgan Wallen pled guilty to two reckless endangerment misdemeanor charges.
The country music star will serve seven days of jail time at a DUI rehab center.

Country music star, Morgan Wallen, is appearing in a Davidson County courtroom on Thursday, December 12.
The 31-year-old singer was arrested after he was seen throwing a chair from the top of Eric Church’s bar Chief’s on the night of April 7, 2024. It was the bar’s opening weekend.

The 31-year-old singer was arrested after he was seen throwing a chair from the top of Eric Church’s bar Chief’s on the night of April 7, 2024. It was the bar’s opening weekend.
The chair reportedly landed just a few feet away from two officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department, who were on foot patrol that night along Broadway.

He is charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct, which is a misdemeanor. He posted a bond of $15,250 and was released from Davidson County jail.
Wallen released an online statement ten days later regarding the incident:
To this point, Wallen has waived his right to appear in court to face the charges, opting to send his attorney, Worrick Robinson IV, in his stead.
On Tuesday, December 10, Wallen’s attorney filed to have the charges transferred over to the Davidson County Circuit Criminal Court, which will now hear his case on Thursday, December 12. His three felony reckless endangerment charges were reduced to misdemeanors on Wednesday, December 11. He still faces an additional disorderly conduct charge, which is also a misdemeanor.
It is unknown if Wallen will appear in court, but the outcome of his case may be decided that day.
