Man wanted for robbing Franklin Sonic restaurant at gunpoint, assaulting manager
The victim was continuously assaulted and threatened before being dropped off in a nearby neighborhood.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office has released pictures of a man who robbed a Franklin Sonic restaurant at gunpoint Tuesday night.
Just after 10 p.m. an armed robbery and assault occurred at the Grassland area Sonic, according to the sheriff’s office.
The man allegedly entered the restaurant as it was closing and confronted the manager — the suspect then assaulted the manager and stole money from the store. He had a hoodie tightly cinched around his face to mask his identity.
After the robbery, WCSO said the suspect forced the victim to wait in a vehicle occupied by three other people. The victim was continuously assaulted and threatened before being dropped off in a nearby neighborhood. The manager was left with non-life-threatening injuries.
The amount of money stolen from the restaurant is unknown at this time.
“The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this incident and is working to identify the suspects involved. We are asking for the community’s assistance. If anyone has information about this crime or witnessed any suspicious activity in the Grassland area around the time of the incident, please contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at (615) - 790 -5550 or Crime Stoppers at (615) -794 - 4000. All tips can remain anonymous, and Crime Stoppers may offer a reward for information leading to an arrest,” WCSO said.
