Downtown Nashville celebrates annual tree lighting
This year’s tree is from Brentwood and is 30-foot tall with more than 5,000 lights.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - It’s Christmas time in Nashville.
The annual Metro Nashville Christmas tree lighting took place Friday evening. There were special performances by Lakeview Elementary School music program, Head Magnet Middle School choir, and the Olive Branch Church Choir.
Mayor Freddie O’Connell took the time to share that he’s grateful to live in a city with so many people who are willing to share blessings with others.
“We can share these blessings everyday if we’re looking we can offer them everyday if we’re willing, and I would just invite and encourage you to check out the kindness, selflessness, and awesomeness that’s all you in every part of this city. So my best to you and yours this season. Merry Christmas,” said O’Connell.
