Stolen donut at Walmart leads to fentanyl arrest
Police said a Nashville man has a substantial amount of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A stolen donut at a Walmart led to a fentanyl arrest, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
While responding to a call about a suspicious man at Walmart stealing a donut, officers learned the 44-year-old Nashville man had a substantial amount of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.
The MJPD said with the help of Walmart staff they were able to safely take the suspect into custody. The man was booked in the Wilson County Jail.
“This arrest is a reminder of how theft calls can lead to other crimes, where dangerous drugs are located and removed from our community,” the MJPD said. “Thank you to our vigilant team and partners at Walmart for helping us keep Mt. Juliet safe.”
