On Saturday, a woman was flown to a local hospital after another incident on Old Hickory Lake. Hendersonville Fire Chief Scotty Bush said the woman’s arm was wrapped up in a rope, leaving her severely injured.
She was on a float being pulled by a boat when someone driving a jet ski allegedly hit the rope, causing the victim to get tangled up and injured. HFD said she remains hospitalized but is in stable condition.
The Hendersonville Fire Department is urging the public to remain vigilant and safe while on the waters.
“Stay vigilant, wear life vests, obey rules of the water, don’t speed and stay courteous of other boaters,” Bush added.
