“THE COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS will meet in OPEN SESSION, HYBRID FORMAT to conduct a hearing entitled, “Stopping the Flow of Fentanyl: Public Awareness and Legislative Solutions.” The witnesses will be: Mr. Jason “Jelly Roll” DeFord, Artist and Philanthropist; Mr. Patrick Yoes, National President, Fraternal Order of Police; and Mr. Christopher J. Urben, Managing Director, Nardello & Co, and Assistant Special Agent in Charge (Retired), Special Operations Division, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. “I’ve attended more funerals than I care to share with y’all. This committee I could sit here and cry for days about the caskets I’ve carried of the people I’ve loved dearly, deeply, in my soul, good people. Not just drug addicts,” Jelly Roll said during the hearing.
