Middle Tennessee weekend events forecast
Sunny, chilly weather takes hold this weekend.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Bundle up if you’re going to the Tennessee Volunteers football game.
After a wet week of weather, much colder conditions will settle over the Midstate this weekend.
The wind and rain took down a lot of leaves this week. Because of that, some of you will begin Saturday with some time in the yard getting things cleaned up. If that’s you, dress warmly.
The day will start in the 30s with spotty frost. Temperatures will climb through the 40s and eventually into the 50s by late morning under sunshine. A light breeze will develop, too, but it shouldn’t be too strong to get some good raking in.

Many of you will go to the Tennessee State University football game against Southeast Missouri State at Nissan Stadium. Dress warmly for that. Saturday will be one of the chilliest days in months. Kickoff temperature will only be in the upper 50s.

Murfreesboro will be just as cool for the Middle Tennessee State University football game against Western Kentucky. Leave the rain gear behind, but wear a hoodie and think about buying some hot chocolate.

Then, at night, the #13 ranked Tennessee Volunteers will host the #6 ranked Kentucky Wildcats in East Tennessee. Tailgating will actually be the warmest part of that game. Knoxville will have a high temperature around 60°.
From there, the temperature will tumble back to 50° by the end of the fourth quarter. The walk back to the car will be especially chilly, in the 40s. At least there won’t be any rain.
