NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Dolly Parton’s niece has been fired from her job overseeing the late singer’s archive and museum operations, according to TMZ.

TMZ reported that sources with direct knowledge said the people overseeing Parton’s estate fired Rebecca Seaver on Thursday. Seaver is the sister of Bryan Seaver, Parton’s former head of security. TMZ’s sources said her entire staff was also let go. It is unclear how many employees were affected.

Seaver served as executive director of Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, which opened Sept. 29 inside Parton’s SongTeller Hotel in downtown Nashville, TMZ reported.

WSMV has not independently confirmed TMZ’s report.

Brother also fired

TMZ reported that Parton’s manager, Danny Nozell, fired Bryan Seaver in September. Bryan Seaver had been Parton’s head of security for more than two decades, TMZ said. He and his security companies were ordered to leave Parton’s properties, including her Nashville home, the museum and a warehouse.

TMZ reported that Nozell filed a lawsuit accusing Bryan Seaver of making threats and trying to pressure the estate for money. Bryan Seaver denied threatening anyone, saying his messages were taken out of context, according to TMZ.

Estate dispute

WSMV reported Thursday that the company managing Parton’s estate is asking for police bodycam video of an alleged altercation between Bryan Seaver and officers on the day Parton died. The request is in documents obtained by TMZ. Sources close to Seaver told TMZ there was no altercation.

Parton’s estate was granted a temporary restraining order in September against Bryan Seaver and his private security company. A Tennessee judge extended it earlier this month. Bryan Seaver has denied the estate’s allegations that he sent threatening messages or threatened to destroy Parton’s legacy.

Bryan Seaver also asked a Tennessee court to delay a hearing on the restraining order so he can hire an attorney, according to the Associated Press.
