Toddler drowns after dad falls asleep in hot tub, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WESH) - A father is facing charges after his toddler apparently drowned in a hot tub.
Reynard Hough, 33, was arrested by Osceola County sheriff’s deputies for child neglect with great bodily harm and aggravated manslaughter of a child.
The family, who is from Washington, D.C., was staying at an Airbnb in Florida.
Hough woke up after falling asleep in the hot tub and found his 20-month-old toddler unresponsive.
He told detectives he took her into the hot tub and fell asleep with her in his arms.
She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office said the death investigation is ongoing.
