13-year-old comes home from school to find father killed his mother, police say

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Gray News) - A 13-year-old boy came home to find that his father had killed his mother in Pennsylvania, police said Tuesday.

The boy told police that his parents fought “all the time” and were fighting that morning when he left for school. The day before, the boy said his mother had threatened to leave, according to WGAL.

The boy returned home around noon and left “frantically about 10 to 20 seconds after he entered.”

According to WGAL, officers found Violette Pierre dead on the bathroom floor, covered in blood.

An affidavit said that her husband, Rocheny Clerge, 33, was found on top of her and “covered in a large amount of blood.” A knife was found next to him in a baseboard heater.

Authorities pulled Clerge off Pierre and “performed life saving measures on him.” He had a “large laceration on the side of his neck and was bleeding badly,” so he was rushed to the hospital, the affidavit said.

Clerge is charged with first-degree murder and possession of an instrument of a crime.
