5 arrested, including 4 teens, after high-speed chase in Nashville
Police located the five suspects in an apartment where they found three guns, vehicle programmers and key fobs.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Five people were arrested, including four teens and a 22-year-old after leading police on a high speed chase in a stolen car.
On Thursday night, police said the five suspects fled from Metro Nashville Police Department detectives in a stolen Nissan Altima, which police said was driving at excessive speeds near Tyler Drive.
MNPD Aviation found the group that abandoned the car on Elm Hill Pike at Emory Drive. The group then entered a green Dodge Charger, which also continued speeding, and stopped at the Creative Way apartment complex.
All five occupants fled into the apartment, where they were all taken into custody.
Inside the apartment, police found three guns, two of which were stolen, and another had a Glock switch. Police also found vehicle programmers, key fobs, and a Tennessee dealer license plate.
Police arrested the following people:
- Jamarcus Menzies, 16
- Daishoun Cotton, 18
- Aryona Ward, 22
- Bryun Watkins, 18
- A 17-year-old

Menzies was wanted on three counts of aggravated robbery. He was booked and charged in Juvenile Court along with a 17-year-old who was charged with theft of a firearm, vehicle theft, evading arrest, juvenile handgun possession, possession of fob equipment and juvenile curfew.
Cotton was charged with vehicle theft, theft of a firearm, evading arrest, possession of fob equipment and possession of a firearm following a domestic violence conviction. He was booked on a $16,000 bond.
Ward and Watkins were both charged with vehicle theft, theft of a firearm, evading arrest and possession of fob equipment. Both were booked on a $15,000 bond.
