Nashville police creating new shifts to help with response times in certain areas
At this time it’s unclear how many officers will be assigned to this new shift.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department is aiming to help police areas with higher call volumes in 2025.
MNPD is creating a new shift to help with response times in the new year.
The officers working the new shift will be on “D-Shift” and will respond to areas within the area that are dealing with a high volume of 911 calls.
At this time it’s unclear how many officers will be assigned to this new shift. The “D-Shift” is set to start in February of 2025.
