First Alert Forecast: Tracking Halloween rain
Halloween day will start off dry and mild, but we’ll notice much more cloud cover around the Mid State during the day.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Another week with unseasonably high temperatures, and we’re also tracking rain that could impact trick-or-treating.
WARMING BACK UP
After a chilly start to the day, it will be another pleasant afternoon with highs back near 80 and just a few clouds around at times.
Tonight, won’t be as chilly with lows near 60 by tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow afternoon will be breezy and slightly warmer with highs back in the lower 80s but winds that will gust around 20 mph at times.
Temperatures on Wednesday will push into the mid 80s with a mix of clouds and sunshine expected for the day. It will stay breezy with gusts still near 20 mph through the afternoon.

HALLOWEEN RAIN
Halloween day will start off dry and mild, but we’ll notice much more cloud cover around the Mid State during the day. A cold front will approach the Mid State late in the afternoon and through the evening and bring us a decent round of scattered rain showers across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. While we could use the rain, it does look like it would impact trick-or-treating prime hours so get ready to have the umbrella.
Rain will continue into the overnight and a few showers will even hang around into our Friday morning. We’ll dry out Friday afternoon with temperatures falling into the 60s and near 70 at best for the day. Sunshine will return Friday afternoon.
THIS WEEKEND
We’ll mix clouds and sunshine Saturday and Sunday with temperatures climbing back into the 70s to near 80.
