Body recovered from Cumberland River near Riverfront Park
The identity and manner of death of the deceased are pending the Medical Examiner’s autopsy.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An investigation is underway after a body was recovered from the Cumberland River on Monday afternoon, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
MNPD reports a 911 caller discovered the body in the water at Riverfront Park next to the boat dock on the Cumberland River downtown.
First responders were able to get the body out of the water just after noon. The identity and manner of death of the deceased are pending the Medical Examiner’s autopsy.
