Metro Police arrest two men in connection to fatal North Nashville mass shooting
Both are being charged with criminal homicide, police said.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department announced the arrest of two men believed to be involved in the deadly shooting on Jefferson Street on Saturday afternoon.
Police arrested 24-year-olds Marquez Davis and DeAnthony Brown.
Police said they were arrested by detectives at a short-term rental on 26th Avenue North.
Both are being charged with criminal homicide, police said.
Police said Davis was carrying a gun before detectives apprehended him on Monday night. Davis was convicted of robbery, felony gun possession and felony drug possession charges in April 2024.
Davis also received a 10-year probated sentence to the Community Corrections Program, police said.
“The shooters had no regard for human life and put a crowd of innocent persons, including children, in extreme danger. The entire criminal justice system must treat violent gun crime with the seriousness it demands with resulting incarceration for those convicted,” Chief John Drake said.
