Body recovered from Old Hickory Lake, officials say
Crews were able to recover the body at 5:30 p.m.
MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: The Wilson County Emergency Management Agency has confirmed a body was recovered from Old Hickory Lake on Friday evening.
Crews were able to recover the body at 5:30 p.m.
No other details have been released at this time.
Earlier: Officials are working to retrieve a body from Old Hickory Lake on Friday afternoon.
Wilson Emergency Management Agency and other agencies were called to Old Hickory Lake to reports of someone in the water.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office reports the person they’re looking for rented a pontoon boat and some went into the water and never resurfaced.
Several boaters and divers are working to recover the boater, in this incident that’s described as fatal.
