NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department identified the two women killed in a crash on Gallatin Pike late Saturday night.

Police said Holly Wagner, 25, from Missouri, and Natalie White, 24, from Illinois, died in the crash at 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gallatin Pike North and Cude Lane.

Giovanni Bolstad, 22, is facing two charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication in connection with the crash, according to police.

According to police, Bolstad was driving a Jeep on Cude Lane out of Rivergate Mall, ran a flashing red light and crashed into a Ford Focus the two women were in. A vehicle examination of the Jeep showed the speedometer was stuck between 50 and 60 mph, according to the arrest report.

The 26-year-old driver of the Ford Focus was taken to Skyline Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said Bolstad initially ran away from the scene, but returned. The arresting officer said several open containers of ‘Bahama Mama’ alcohol cans were found in and around Bolstad’s vehicle. He was taken to Skyline with non-life threatening injuries and later arrested.

Bolstad was previously arrested and convicted of DUI in 2023, police said.

Bolstad was charged with two-counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication and vehicular assault among other charges, police said. He was booked on a $332,500 bond.
