Homeowner shoots intruder dead in Trigg County, police say
Police said the armed intruder forced his way into a home on Linda Lane.

CADIZ, KY (WSMV) - One person is dead after a shooting at a home in Trigg County, Kentucky, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP).
KSP was notified of the shooting just after midnight on July 20.
The shooting happened on Linda Lane where 25-year-old Austin Gardner entered a home armed with a weapon.
Gardner forced his way into a room inside the home and was shot by the homeowner, 21-year-old Cody Parker, according to police. Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kentucky State Police assured this was an isolated incident and posed no threat to the public.
