Recycling event to be held in Williamson County
The event will happen at Nissan Headquarters.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Have any used mattresses, tires or any unwanted items?
The Tennessee Environmental Council is holding a Williamson County Recycling Roundup next Saturday on April 6.
The recycling event is being held at Nissan Headquarters 1 Nissan Way from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Tennessee Environmental Council will be accepting the following items:
- Mattresses and box springs
- The mattresses and box springs must be clean, dry and non-infested with a limit of two per household. Anyone who has more than the item limit may have to pay $10.
- Tires
- There will be a limit of eight tires per household. Anyone who has more than eight may have to pay a $1 fee.
The Tennessee Environmental Council said that they are limited to 40 mattresses and box springs and 500 tires at the event.
- Clothing and textiles
- No carpeting, rugs or pillows will be allowed.
- Torn and tattered socks and baby clothes
- The items must be cleaned and sorted separately.
- Shoes
- The shoes must be clean and dry and tied together.
- Batteries
- No lead-acid batteries like auto, lawnmower, security system, etc., and no leaking batteries will be accepted.
- Scrap metal
- Ink catridges and toner
- Electronics
- Glass
- No mirrors or windshields
- Paper for secure shredding
- Cardboard
- Thecardboard must broken and or flattened.
- Styrofoam and polystyrene
- Pet supplies
