Teen with suspected homicide history arrested for park shooting in Antioch
Police arrested the suspect as after he was perceived as a danger to the community.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 19-year-old who was free on bond and awaiting trial in two separate murder cases was put back in jail. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said Oswaldo Corado shot an acquaintance in the hand at Mill Ridge Park on Old Hickory Boulevard Friday evening and pointed a gun at the 23-year-old’s cousin.
Police said officers worked to find Corado after they got two warrants early Saturday morning.
Saturday night, Corado was at the Walmart in La Vergne. Officers moved in and arrested him in the parking lot. He was taken downtown and booked on a $150,000 bond.
Police said four years ago, Corado was charged with criminal homicide for the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Lee V. Turner Jr. outside the Tornado Bus Station on Nolensville Pike. He was subsequently charged in 2021 with a second case of criminal homicide for the Nov. 16, 2020, fatal shooting of 34-year-old Alexander Presley.
The criminal homicide cases were transferred from Juvenile Court to Criminal Court, according to MNPD.
As part of his bond conditions, Corado was on an ankle monitor and was to not be around any guns.
