Woman, baby found dead inside North Nashville apartment
Police said no foul play is expected.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – UPDATE: The bodies of a woman and a baby, presumed to be mother and child, were found inside a North Nashville apartment following a welfare check performed by officers on Tuesday afternoon, according to Metro Nashville police.
Police said officers were called to the Haynes Garden Apartments at about 2:04 p.m. after friends and family said they hadn’t heard from the woman in a while.
Officers found the pair dead inside the apartment. Drugs were also found inside and seemed to have been involved.
No foul play is expected.
EARLIER: Two bodies were found at a North Nashville apartment complex Tuesday afternoon, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Police said the bodies were found inside an apartment at Haynes Garden Apartments at 2715 Whites Creek Pike.
MNPD is sending its homicide investigators to the scene. No further details have been released.
