MIDDLEBURG, Fla. (WJXT) – A Florida family said a DoorDash delivery driver mishandled their food.

Trena Brown shared a Ring camera video that shows her daughter’s DoorDash delivery being dropped off at her Orange Park home Sunday.

It’s a video she calls maddening.

When the driver opens the case to put the food down, a container of boneless wings drops.

The package opens and one of the wings lands on the ground. The delivery driver then appears to pick up the wing from the ground, place it back in the container, lick his finger, use his foot to wipe up where the sauce fell and walk away.

Brown said her family, luckily, watched the video before eating. After this incident, she believes changes need to be made, starting with the driver.

“If he can’t deliver food with due care, then maybe there’s something else out there for him to do,” Brown said. “Secondly, on DoorDash’s behalf, I’m not really sure what the training is, but maybe it’s time to bring the drivers in or require them to have some type of training.”

DoorDash said in part, “On background, this is well below the level of service we aim to provide on every delivery and certainly not the experience we want customers to have when they order dinner from DoorDash. Our team is investigating and has issued a warning to the Dasher.”

Brown said she hasn’t ordered food to be delivered since the incident.
