Two students arrested for making threats to Nashville schools
The unrelated threats were made against John F. Kennedy and Wright middle schools, according to MNPD.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department announced the arrest of two middle school students for making threats against their respective campuses this week.
Nashville PD said a 14-year-old at John F. Kennedy Middle School verbalized to some classmates that he was going to be “the next school shooter,” hinted at having a list of targets in mind, and pointed out one of them to the classmates.
At Wright Middle School, Nashville PD was alerted to a 13-year-old student who told some classmates that he planned to bring an AK-47 to school the next day.
Both students were taken into custody and charged with making a false report. The JFK student faces an additional charge of making a threat of mass violence.
