Felon facing multiple aggravated assault, weapons charges after fleeing from police
KeSamuel Lusk was also wanted for charges stemming from two other incidents.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A convicted felon is now facing multiple aggravated assault and weapons charges after after a high-speed chase with Metro Police.
KeSamuel Lusk, 26, reportedly fled from officers in a car at a high rate of speed Tuesday night. He later crashed at a red light on Lafayette Street at 2nd Avenue South and fled on foot until he was caught by police.
While running, Lusk reportedly also threw a Glock semi-automatic pistol, equipped with a switch to make it fully automatic, toward a fence.
MNPD said Lusk has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, evading arrest and leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a revoked license.
Lusk has been wanted by police since Feb. 5, when he allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend by pointing a gun with a red laser toward her home while her mother and three children were inside. For that incident, he was charged with six counts of aggravated assault, unlawful gun possession, and domestic assault.
The ex-girlfriend told police that Lusk had mentally and physically abused her for years
After the Feb. 5 warrants were issued, officers spotted him a in a car the next day and tried to stop him, but he fled at a high rate of speed and got away. Lusk was charged with evading arrest and driving on a revoked license for this incident.
Lusk remains jailed on a $192,000 bond.
MNPD said Lusk’s felon status comes from convictions of aggravated burglary and felony theft of property in Cheatham and Montgomery Counties.
