NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A murder suspect out of Knoxville was arrested at Nashville‘s Greyhound bus station, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
21-year-old Kevin Martinez was located and arrested by undercover MNPD TITANS Unit detectives outside of Nashville’s Greyhound bus station. Police said the bus Martinez intended to board was enroute to California.
Martinez was wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man on Dec. 19, MNPD said.
On Saturday, Knoxville Police requested help in locating Martinez, so MNPD and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began a collaborative effort in finding him, eventually locating him at the Greyhound station.
Martinez was apprehended when he stepped outside the station to smoke a cigarette. He was then arrested without incident.
MNPD said Martinez is set to be returned to Knoxville in the near future.
