One arrested after shot fired during trespassing incident

PUTNAM CO., Tenn. (WSMV) - One person has been arrested after a trespassing incident led to shots being fired, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).

On Friday, deputies responded to a residence in the 3400 block of Buffalo Valley Road just before 1 p.m. for a trespassing call.

While on the scene, a deputy was speaking to one involved person when a second person inside the home reportedly fired a gunshot, police said.

PCSO said the deputy was able to get the victims to safety.

The unnamed person who reportedly fired the shot was detained and is now in custody, police said.

No injuries were reported in this incident.
