Man charged with DUI in fatal Kentucky crash

FAIRVIEW, Ky. (WSMV) - A man has been charged with a DUI after a fatal crash in Todd County, according to the Kentucky State Police.

KSP said the crash happened on Wednesday just after 5 p.m. on Russellville Road near the Goshen Road intersection.

Preliminary investigation showed that 60-year-old Timothy Todrank, of Houston, TX, was driving a Dodge Ram eastbound on Russellville Rd. when he crossed the median into the westbound lanes. He then struck a Chevrolet Spark head-on.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 58-year-old Karen Hargrove, of Hopkinsville, Ky., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Todrank was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, 1st-degree, 1st offense possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and vehicular homicide when under the influence of a drug/substance.

He is being held in the Todd County Detention Center.

Fairview Fire Department, Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky Department of Transportation, Wilsons Towing, Todd County EMS, Todd County Rescue, and the Todd County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene.
