LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Lebanon Police Department is mourning the death of a retired K-9 officer.

LPD announced the death of K-9 Prime, who served as an explosives detection K-9 for several years alongside his handler, Police Chief Mike Justice.

Prime retired in 2017 and lived on the Justice family farm.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Justice family during this difficult time,” said LPD.
