NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A bomb threat caused the evacuation of an apartment complex in South Nashville, according to Metro Nashville police.

MNPD said they received notification of a threat to Vine Hill Towers apartment complex, which is described as housing for the elderly and disabled by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA), prompting a response from law enforcement.

At the scene, residents were evacuated from the building as police searched the premises. Nothing was found, according to MNPD.

Residents were able to be escorted back into the building following the search.
